We offer this as a 12 week evening course during the Autumn/Winter
Week 1 Horse behaviour
Week 2 Tacking up
Week 3 Preparing for travel
Week 4 Feeding and fittening
Week 5 Health and feet
Week 6 Plaiting and trimming
Week 7 Environment for keeping horses
Week 8 Tacking up and preparing for travel - assessment
Week 9 Health, feet, feeding and fittening - assessment
Week 10 Plaiting and trimming - assessment
Week 11 Roles and responsibilities, horse behaviour - assessment
Week 12 Anatomy, environment for keeping horses - assessment
For those ready for assessment (ie skills record sign-off), you can attend for the last 5 weeks only.
If you are up to standard during the course, you can automatically be signed off on the Skills Record. If there are a few areas that need brushing up to achieve the standard, you can book extra assessments after the course.
Cost:
£330 for the full course
£150 for assessment sessions only
or £30.00 per session taken individually

stage 2 LUNGING course
We offer this as a 6 week course
Each week is fully practical, with the opportunity to hone your lunging skills using our schoolmaster horses.
If you are up to standard during the course, you can automatically be signed off on the Skills Record. If there are a few areas that need brushing up to achieve the standard, you can book extra assessments after the course.

stage 2 COACHING course
We offer this as 6 week course on Wednesday afternoons 2.00pm-4.00pm
Week 1 Theory of instruction – lesson plans, lesson structure,
health and safety, legal requirements
Week 2 Lunge, lead rein and group lesson demos
Week 3 Lunge, lead rein and group lesson practical
Week 4 Lunge, lead rein and group lesson practical
Week 5 Lunge, lead rein and group lesson practical
Week 6 Lunge, lead rein and group lesson practical
For those with teaching experience, looking to polish their skills ready for assessment, we also offer each week as a pay as you go session. If you feel ready for assessment, and simply need your skills record signed off, you will need to attend a minimum of 2 sessions.
However, please note: unless you are already teaching in a commercial environment and are used to teaching groups, we strongly recommend that you attend the full course.
